Under the Castle is the best team experience I have ever had the luck to be part of. It was a journey shared with Dani Díez and Carl where we combined our strengths from the very first prototypes. I had the privilege of working with Dani from the initial ideas, assisting in the design led by his brilliant vision, and later producing the final game together. I took charge of the soundtrack too, which was created using Arkos Tracker and based on the legendary AY chip to bring a classic chiptune soul to the 1 bit world. We focused on building a deep experience where the complexity of the equipment and the procedural logic felt natural on a handheld. This project is the result of three people perfectly synchronized by a shared passion, creating a dense world of meta progression and discovery that stands as our personal tribute to the monochrome era.
