TRASMOZ THE ARCADE LEGEND

There is no better way to play Volcano Bytes games than on a real wooden cabinet with clicky joysticks and a CRT monitor. For years, I dreamed of seeing one of my creations hosted in the legendary 'Wide-body' cabinet, the same iconic model used for Nintendo's early masterpieces like Donkey Kong, Popeye, and Mario Bros. Originally built for the unsuccessful Radar Scope, these cabinets became the foundation of an era. Thanks to the incredible craftsmanship of Lolo and Jacaba from El Templo del Arcade, this dream is now a reality. They have built an impeccable piece of hardware with every detail in place, including an authentic CRT monitor laid flat, just like the original Nintendo setups. This gave me the perfect canvas to expand the game's visual identity: a 'Kawaii-Cartoon' art style directly inspired by the vibrant, whimsical cabinet illustrations of the early 80s.

The inauguration was a moment I will never forget. I had the honor of presenting the machine alongside my great friends Alberto Martínez (the sound wizard) and Sergio Ferredelo, who has been the relentless tester of all my games. Sharing that afternoon with the community and the friends who came to visit was the ultimate reward for the hard work. The Trasmoz Legends cabinet is now a permanent part of the collection at El Templo del Arcade in Vallecas, Madrid. It’s not just an exhibit; it’s a fully operational portal to 1984.
