This project was a personal milestone: my first game for the Amstrad CPC, the machine that was finally my own after years of longing for a Spectrum. I wanted to push my childhood computer to its limits, and that was only possible thanks to the coding wizardry of Carlos Perezgrin. Together, we pushed the hardware with features like double buffering and a CRTC raster split-screen, allowing us to alternate between Mode 0 for the gameplay and Mode 1 for the HUD. The experience was elevated by the outstanding soundtrack from Antonio 'GreenWeb' of the renowned Pat Morita Team. This sequel introduced the 2-player cooperative mode and the first appearance of Mutamin, the skull-monster that haunts you when the timer hits zero—a character destined to become the star of our final arcade chapter, Trasmoz Legends. The game’s impact was recognized at the Amstrad Eterno 2024 Awards, where it swept multiple categories including Best Soundtrack, Best Physical Edition, Best Arcade Game, and Most Original Game. To top it off, Revenge of Trasmoz received a deluxe physical release via Polyplay in three different formats, cementing its little place in the modern history of the CPC.
